Speechless with rage!

WARNING!  The following image is painfully, disturbingly graphic!  None of the words below are mine...as my title says, I'm way too angry to speak!

"Some kids placed strong firecracker in the mouth of this animal and made sure he could not open it. The world is like this. To these kids it must have been a macabre fun for a few minutes and then they continued with their life like nothing happened." ~ Jade Razorcutemokitty, from Facebook.

  2. How could that poor creature have survived for as long as it did (I presume it was euthanized)?

  4. Such a horrible thing. The pain this dog must have gone thru and it sickens me to think that such hellish beasts exist in human form. I hope the ones who did this suffer in hell for this thing. Have the idiots been caught and punished yet?

  8. How terrible...if they can torture an animal they're capable of torturing anyone.

  9. Omg that is the most horrific thing I have ever seen on an animal!

  11. Oh my god. I hope the poor thing was put out of its misery quickly. What evil, despicable bastards. What the fuck is wrong with people that they can even contemplate doing something like this???

  12. found a vid re this.,.. won't post it.... too graphic showing the dog on the operating table... and yes, sadly, horribly, it had to be euthanized... the text below the vid said:

Two drunken teenagers in Bosnia decided to have "fun" by duct-taping a firework in a German Shepherd's mouth and blowing off his face. Having done this, they took off, leaving the helpless creature to suffer. The poor dog, known as Vucko, apparently wandered in agony for five days, unable to eat. Finally, he was picked up by authorities and taken to a vetenarian's office, but had to be euthanized after vets were unable to perform reconstructive surgery.

Vucko's death doesn't have to be in vain. This tragedy is a perfect opportunity to promote animal abuse awareness in Bosnia, where animal rights are virtually non-existent, and to work to deter anyone in the future from committing such horrible crimes.

JUSTICE For Vucko! sign the petition:-

i just signed the petition, and in the optional comment section, tho i was on the verge of writing a long rant, just wrote 'absolute sickness'.... (it's on care2, which is a site i've had an account with for a few years.. i get frequent emails on matters of animal well-being, planet well-being and other topics.. it's a good site... i recommend signing up on their email list)

  13. many years ago i knew this guy who lived nearby.... seemed like a friendship might develop.... then one day he told me how he and his friends, when they were kids, would tie small firecrackers around cats' tails and then light the fuse and watch the cats run in frantic terror... he was laughing when he told the story... i looked at him, shook my head, didn't say a word (cuz it would've gotten ugly)... walking away from him gave him enough of how i thought... and that was the end of the potential friendship...

  14. FIVE days! Oh my god. It doesn't bear thinking about, the agony he must have been in. I could cry.

I'm with Care2 too... off to add my name.

  17. You want to know how I cope when I see something as horrendous as that and I am forced to realise that some people can be capable almost unimaginable cruelty?

I do it by remembering the other people, the ones I see regularly who work to redress the damage. They are often volunteers and give up both their time and money to help animals in distress. I've known elderly ladies who will walk into squats full of drug addicts to collect a sick cat, people who will face up to just about anyone to rescue a starving dog and one woman who slid into a water filled ditch to rescue a trapped dog and ended up being winched out by the fire brigade.

Most people are sickened by cruelty to animals, and it's a minority who needlessly perpetrate it. That's what I try to remember.

  23. I really can't say any more than this. Because that is the only thing I keep asking myself.....!

  24. yes, the picture is brutal/graphic... that's the real-deal... i don't think you should take the pic off here... it's horrible, but i don't think we should 'look away' from such things....

and kae... as to speechless.. i get that... but i also posted the care2 petition link, so that we can use that as a 'voice' to send to the powers-that-be over in bosnia to increase animal-welfare awareness and to make the point to them that it's time for some animal-rights legislation... one never knows whether petitions such as that fall on deaf ears... but tater-sue and i both signed it last night.. and, tho the goal was for 125,000 it had already surpassed that.. it's a way of giving a voice to those animals who can't speak..

i hope you, and others, will click that link i posted above and sign the petition... (and if for some reason it doesn't give the 'sign here now' section over to the right of the story, it might be that one has to sign up for the site.. sue and i've been members of care2 for a while.. and it's not always about such atrocities.. it has some tough stories of abuse n' neglect, but most of the articles are about positive things in the realm of animal-pet-life, living healthy thru delicious/nutritious means, and what we can also do to help this green n' blue planet sustain itself in a better way... it's not preachy... it's just good stuff..

  30. I looked this up, and, incredibly, the sotry is even worse than one could possibly imagine. It happened late last November, in Bosnia. The dog survived its wounds for FIVE DAYS before it was captured and seen by vets, who, unable to do anything for the poor creature, put it out of its misery (in any case, with treatment or not, death was a foregone conclusion).

The perps were described as "two drunken youths." Who knows--maybe their mothers had been victims of Serbian rape camps? There are parts of the world that just have a sickness about them due to recent atrocities, and there are individuals who may even come from decent parts of the world who are just beyond "redemption."

  31. oh gawd.............yes, I saw this on facebook too and it make me sick to my stomach, that POOR dog! :(

those kids are sick in the head and a real danger to anyone, because it is proven that however a person treats an animal, they will do that to a human just as easily. I have to leave, this just makes me so sick and sad and completely disgusted.

  32. I understand, Suzy. I don't linger here, either! :(
