MIRROR IMAGE

Black and white,
and those soft whispers
of peach and gray,
remind me of the complex ways
my mind takes -
ignoring terminations,
refusing extremities,
denying oppositions.

Black and white,
and those soft whispers
of peach and gray,
picture in exact similitudes
my mind's echoes -
grieving and rejoicing,
despairing and hoping,
avoiding and embracing.

Black and white,
and those soft whispers
of peach and gray,
speak the extraordinary beauty
my mind embraces -
rising beats falling,
praying bests wailing,
loving trumps fearing.
