BROKEN
Always, the talk is of the glass half full,
or of the glass half empty.
No one talks about the glass broken.
I watch the liquid
pour out of the neatly broken wine glass,
and see my life.
What should fill me up,
and make me me
is pouring out
unchecked, inevitable,
my defenses broken down,
no way to shore them up,
or save the essence that is me.

Thanks, Jud! Rogsy chooses the pictures...this is his challenge!
Very kewl indeed :)
Okay.. so where does one go to participate in such challenges? I miss the creative side of me.
Oh geesh, I replied before commenting on your poem, which I love. Symbolism is a powerful thing.. and I think you nailed it here.
My friend Rogsy hosts this challenge! Here's the URL for this one. http://movingimagesmic.multiply.com/journal/item/28
You can find the others once you get there.
Thanks, Momo! I agree with you!

*chuckles* I'm assuming you've heard the quintessentially stupid song by Toby Keith dedicated to the "Red Solo Cup", eh? :P
No one talks of the glass half broken...that really struck home, somehow! awesome
